Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of year. It's the start of the holiday season which is a really special time. I love Christmas and the warm fuzzy feeling you get thinking of others, time with family and friends and just the all around good cheer. Thanksgiving starts us off right. We stop to take a little extra time to be thankful for all that we have and are blessed with. And I'm not talking about material things. I'm talking about our family and friends, our freedom, our country and communities, and our health and happiness. There is so much to be thankful for. And although we are thankful throughout the year it is only right to have a special day to be extra thankful. And what a great way to start the holidays off. Because the most important thing we have to be thankful for is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And how fitting that we can have thanksgiving right before the season of Christmas. Because without Christmas and the birth of our Lord, we really would have nothing to be thankful for.
